RigSense is the all-in-one camping companion for RVers who split their time between organized campgrounds and dispersed boondocking. It follows the natural lifecycle of every trip — from dreaming about it at home to leaving the spot better than you found it.

RigSense puts two things in one app: where you camp, and how your rig is doing.

iPhone is the hub. Your iPhone reads Bluetooth sensors directly, so there's no hub or bridge to buy. Weather, map layers and account sync come through RigSense's servers.

Privacy-forward by design. Your rig data, location history, and travel patterns are yours. We don't sell data, build ad profiles, or track you when you're not using the app.

Convoy is not a separate tab — it's a mode. When a convoy session is active, a persistent Ambient Bar appears at the top of every screen and the Route map gains convoy-aware overlays.

Supported hardware

RigSense is the single pane of glass — battery, propane, water, tires, climate, and connectivity alongside trip planning and community data. Hardware integrations are included with a paid subscription.

All integrations normalize into a unified data model. The dashboard renders identically whether your battery SOC comes from Victron, Bluetooth BMS sensors, or manual entry — same gauges, same energy budget, same alerts.

Mopeka Propane Sensors
Pro Check, Pro Check Universal, Pro Plus (3× range). Magnetic bottom-mount. Tank level, temperature, battery.
Mopeka Water & Fuel Sensors
Pro 200, TD200, TD40. Top-mount ultrasonic for fresh water, grey water, diesel tanks. 0.01" resolution.
Epoch Batteries (LiFePO4)
BLE BMS with per-cell voltage, SOC, temperature, cycle count, and protection status. Eco, Essential, Elite V2 series.

Ruuvi Tags (Environmental)
Finnish-made, open protocol (RAWv2), IP67. Place in up to 7 zones: Interior, Fridge, Freezer, Battery Bay, Basement/Wet Bay, Exterior, Engine Bay. Temperature (±0.2°C), humidity, barometric pressure, movement, battery voltage. Broadcasts every 2.5 seconds — no pairing required. Pairs natively with Victron Cerbo GX; RigSense reads both paths and deduplicates.

The fastest way: open this redemption link on your iPhone. It opens Apple's redeem sheet. Type your code there and RigSense Pro unlocks on your Apple Account.

From inside the app: tap any Pro feature to bring up the RigSense Pro screen, then tap Redeem Code near the bottom, below the plan buttons. You can also redeem in the App Store app: tap your profile picture, then Redeem Gift Card or Code.

Codes attach to the Apple Account you're signed into, so make sure it's the right one. If the app doesn't unlock within a minute, tap Restore Purchases on the same screen.
Your subscription lives on your Apple Account, not on the phone. On the new device, sign in with the same Apple Account, open RigSense, tap any Pro feature to bring up the RigSense Pro screen, and tap Restore Purchases. The same steps work after deleting and reinstalling the app.
The free tier includes the map explorer, solar compass, manual resource tracking, checklists, the stay timer, tire pressure and generator calculators, and one offline map region. RigSense Pro adds the community spot database, road difficulty ratings and rig compatibility badges, hardware integrations, unlimited offline maps, and the full intelligence layers (dark sky, wildlife, bug pressure, connectivity, and more). Plans are $3.99/month or $29.99/year, billed by Apple. RV-safe routing, severe weather alerts, and the fire overlay stay free for everyone — safety is never behind the paywall.
RigSense subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancellation happens in your Apple ID settings — not in the RigSense app itself. On iPhone: open Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → RigSense → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. No partial refunds for unused time, per Apple's policy.
In the app, go to Rig tab → Settings → Account → Delete My Account. You'll see a plain-language confirmation explaining what gets removed. After you confirm, there's a 7-day grace period where you can cancel by signing back in. After 7 days, the pipeline is irreversible: OAuth tokens to Victron and other cloud integrations are revoked, your rig profiles and stay history are deleted, community contributions are anonymized, and encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. Email [email protected] if you'd rather have us handle it manually.
Open the Rig tab → My Setup → Add Hardware and pick the category you want (Energy, Tanks, Climate, Tires, Connectivity). RigSense scans for BLE devices across that whole category at once. Discovered sensors appear as tiles — tap the checkmark to import, assign a role (for example, which Mopeka reads which propane tank), and you're done. BLE sensors work entirely on-device and broadcast continuously, so there's no separate pairing process inside iOS Settings. If a sensor doesn't show up, check that it has power and that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone; Mopeka tank sensors take a firm "thunk" against the tank bottom to start advertising. Location is the core input for almost every feature — weather at your spot, solar angle for panel tilt, nearby campgrounds and dump stations, severe weather alerts tied to where you are. "While Using" is enough for most features. Background location is requested separately and only for three specific things: GPS approach trace recording (off by default, opt-in per trace), pet safety monitoring, and camp stay-limit tracking. You can revoke background access anytime in iOS Settings — the core app keeps working without it. Coordinates sent to third-party APIs (weather, fire, soil data) never include any account info or personal identifier; the request is coordinates only.
Open the spot from the Find tab, scroll to the bottom of the detail sheet, and tap Report this spot. Pick a reason (closed, dangerous access, wrong coordinates, private property, inaccurate description) and add a short note if you have context. Community data moderators review reports; spots flagged by multiple users are automatically hidden pending review. For urgent issues — spots posted on private land, safety hazards, or content that violates community guidelines — email [email protected] and we'll act within 24 hours.

iOS first — iPhone and iPad. Android hasn't been decided yet. The focus right now is making the iOS experience exceptional before expanding platforms.
No. The core app — map explorer, solar compass, manual resource tracker, checklists, and stay timer — works with just your iPhone. A paid subscription unlocks hardware integrations for users who already have compatible sensors (Mopeka, Ruuvi, TPMS caps) or cloud systems (Victron, Peplink).
Any rig type — motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, campervans, and overland vehicles. During setup, you configure your rig profile (dimensions, tank sizes, power system, drivetrain) so the app gives accurate compatibility ratings and route analysis for your specific rig.
Campground — a managed facility with numbered sites, hookups, and amenities (KOA, state parks, Corps of Engineers, private RV parks). Sites are reservable, have defined pad dimensions, and come with amenities like restrooms and showers.

Spot — a dispersed/boondocking location with GPS coordinates and community intel. BLM land, National Forest roads, Walmart overnights, Harvest Host locations. Free or small permit fee, no infrastructure, 14-day stay limits typical.
Not in v1. TireMinder and TireLinc both use 433 MHz sensors that require a proprietary bridge adapter — the protocol is undocumented for TireMinder and only partially reverse-engineered for TireLinc. Native support may come later via protocol reverse-engineering or manufacturer partnership.

Recommended path today: Add generic BLE TPMS sensor caps ($30–60 on Amazon). They broadcast directly to your iPhone via BLE — no bridge hardware, no adapter, works immediately with RigSense. Same tire data, zero complexity.
For boondocking spots, RigSense estimates days you can stay based on your rig profile — battery capacity, solar production forecast, water tank size, propane supply, and waste tank capacity. The Duration Engine watches energy, water, propane, grey/black tanks, and your legal stay limit, then surfaces which one runs out first before you commit to a spot. With connected sensors (Mopeka, Ruuvi, Victron, etc.), the model uses actual real-time data from your rig rather than estimates.
Partially. BLE sensors (Mopeka, Ruuvi, Epoch, SOK, generic TPMS) work entirely offline: your iPhone reads them directly. Offline map caching lets you pre-download a region before heading out (one region free, unlimited on paid). Victron VRM needs an internet connection. A Peplink router is read over its local network, so it doesn't.
We don't sell your data, build ad profiles, or track you when you're not using the app. Community contributions (spot reviews, signal reports) are voluntary.
