Terrain intelligence & rig telemetry
RigSense is the all-in-one camping companion for RVers who split their time between organized campgrounds and dispersed boondocking. It follows the natural lifecycle of every trip — from dreaming about it at home to leaving the spot better than you found it.
No camping app integrates hardware. No hardware app does trip planning. RigSense sits at the intersection: where you camp meets how your rig is doing.
iPhone is the hub. Your iPhone scans BLE sensors directly, hits cloud APIs over cellular, and runs all alerting, history, and dashboard logic on-device. No external server, hub, bridge, or dedicated hardware is assumed or required.
Privacy-forward by design. Your rig data, location history, and travel patterns are yours. We don't sell data, build ad profiles, or track you when you're not using the app.
How the app is organized
RigSense has five tabs, each mapped to a phase of your trip. The active trip state determines which tab shows first on launch.
Caravans is not a separate tab — it's a mode. When a caravan session is active, a persistent Ambient Bar appears at the top of every screen and the Route map gains convoy-aware overlays.
The trip lifecycle
Features are organized into six phases that mirror the real-world camping experience — whether you're at a campground with full hookups or parked on a remote BLM road.
Free Paid subscription Hardware Hub add-on
Supported hardware
RigSense is the single pane of glass — battery, propane, water, tires, climate, and connectivity alongside trip planning and community data. Hardware features require the Hardware Hub add-on (one-time purchase).
All integrations normalize into a unified data model. The dashboard renders identically whether your battery SOC comes from Victron, Renogy, EcoFlow, or manual entry — same gauges, same energy budget, same alerts.
Users authenticate once via Smartcar Connect (OAuth2) using their existing manufacturer account — FordPass, myChevrolet, Uconnect, etc. RigSense gets read-only access. Tow vehicle data appears on the same dashboard as rig telemetry: fuel level, tire pressures, oil life, odometer, diagnostic codes, and location.
- Ford / Lincoln (F-150, F-250, Expedition, 2015+) — fuel, tire pressure, oil life, DTCs, odometer, location
- Chevrolet / GMC (Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, 2015+) — fuel, tire pressure, oil life, DTCs, EV SOC
- Ram / Stellantis (1500, 2500, 3500, 2017+) — fuel, tire pressure, oil life, DTCs, odometer
- Toyota / Lexus (Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma, 2018+) — fuel, odometer, location, tire pressure
- Tesla (all years) — SOC, range, location, tire pressure, climate, charging status
- Ford F-150 Lightning / Rivian / Chevy Silverado EV / GMC Hummer EV — EV SOC, range, charge rate
- Hyundai, Kia, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Volvo, Audi, Subaru, Honda, Mazda, and more — varies by model year

Frequently asked
Spot — a dispersed/boondocking location with GPS coordinates and community intel. BLM land, National Forest roads, Walmart overnights, Harvest Host locations. Free or small permit fee, no infrastructure, 14-day stay limits typical.
Recommended path today: Add generic BLE TPMS sensor caps ($30–60 on Amazon). They broadcast directly to your iPhone via BLE — no bridge hardware, no adapter, works immediately with RigSense. Same tire data, zero complexity.
